Mod Pizza was born in 2012 when our founders, lifelong food lovers with deep roots in Mesa, Arizona, couldn't find a pizza place that let them truly customize their order without compromise. So they built one.

Starting with a single oven and a handful of the freshest local ingredients they could source, the team crafted a concept around one simple idea: your pizza, your way, made with real ingredients and real care.

2012

The First Oven Fires Up

Mod Pizza opens its doors at our original Mesa location. With just 5 staff members, a wood-fired oven, and a dream, we serve our first 200 pizzas in a single weekend.

2014

Best Pizza in Mesa Award

Just two years in, the Mesa Tribune names Mod Pizza the "Best Pizza in Mesa." The recognition brings a flood of new customers and validates everything we've worked for.

2016

Launch of Online Ordering

We launch our digital ordering platform, making it easier than ever for customers to customize and order their perfect pizza from anywhere in Mesa and the surrounding areas.

2019

Expanded Location & Menu

We move to our larger, current location at Signal Butte and introduce 15 new topping options, gluten-free crusts, and our signature garlic butter drizzle that customers love.

2022

10-Year Anniversary & Community Fund

Celebrating a decade of pizza-making, we launch the Mod Community Fund — pledging 1% of all annual profits to local Mesa schools and youth programs.
